PITT-GREENVILLE AIRPORT (PGV)

DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR

NORTH 24 DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

PITT-GREENVILLE AIRPORT AUTHORITY (PGVAA)

The Pitt-Greenville Airport Authority (PGVAA) is releasing for public review and comment a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the North 24 Development Project. The Draft EA addresses the foreseeable environmental, social, and economic consequences associated with the proposed project. The analysis of potential environmental impacts in the Draft EA was conducted in accordance with FAA Order 1050.1F, “Environmental Impacts: Policies and Procedures.”

The PGVAA is proposing the development of approximately 29.7 acres of airport property located north of the existing terminal within the developed footprint. The Project includes construction of new hangar, maintenance, and commercial facilities, along with associated airside and landside infrastructure. The land being developed would promote better land utilization, efficient operations, and economic development by creating employment opportunities and encouraging local investment. Any future project or development would be subject to a separate course of action and would undergo an independent environmental review, as necessary, under NEPA and permitting process under state and federal regulations.

The document is available for review during a 30-day comment period beginning April 8, 2026, at the following location, during normal business hours:

PGVAA Administration Office

400 Airport Road,

Greenville, NC 27834

Also, an electronic copy of the Draft EA can be accessed at (2026_04_06_PGV_Short Form EA_FAA_Final_FULL 1.pdf).
