So, you have found your way to Greenville, North Carolina. If you are anything like us, you are probably wondering, “So what’s there to eat around here?” Lucky for you, Greenville has some of the best one-of-a-kind restaurants that use locally grown foods.

Farm-to-Table Restaurants

One of the things eastern North Carolina prides itself on is our hardworking farmers. Throughout Pitt and surroundings counties, you can find several farm-to-table locations that offer plates made with locally sources products.

Starlight Café and Farm

Described as a creative, farm-fresh New American fare served in buzzy, casual digs with local art and an oyster bar, Starlight Café has been a staple in Uptown Greenville for many years. Nestled at the corner of Evans and 5th Street, Starlight offers refreshing menus for both brunch and dinner.

Ford + Shep

New to the evolving Uptown scene, Ford + Shep offers an ever-changing menu with new specials and entrees listed daily. Named after the owner’s two sons, Ford + Shep works with local farmers and purveyors to design a menu guests will enjoy. Pair an entrée with a hand-crafted cocktail for a dining experience you are sure to remember.

Chef & the Farmer

Located a little over 30 minutes from the Pitt-Greenville Airport, Chef & The Farmer is home to award winning chef Vivian Howard. Known as a progressive eatery, Howard helped turn some of our areas displaced tobacco farmers into food farmers. You can find both eclectic and traditional southern items listed on the menu.

Greenville also offers a wide variety of “Greenville only” restaurants that offer some big flavors and delicious food. This is where your appetite will get the best of you, as these “hidden gems” will have you racing back for more.

Known as a neighborhood casual restaurant, this husband and wife team offer guests a creative American cuisine with some classic rustic European influences. Whether you are looking for lunch, dinner or a weekend brunch spot, this warm and inviting atmosphere will have you telling your friends all about it.

Basil’s Restaurants & Pizzeria

Talk about a great pizza and a great price. Don’t worry, they have other options as well. This little joint has become quite the local favorite over the years, offering an extensive menu of hearty Italian, American and Greek flare. Locals love it, and so will you.

I Heart Pho

After you eat here, you will love Pho as well. What looks like a little corner restaurant attached to a somewhat empty shopping center, you will not find any better Asian fusion cuisine in the surrounding area we can promise you that. New to the Greenville area, you can find both traditional Asian and Pho dishes on the menu. These flavors are more than delicious and cooked fresh to order.
